ART II: OBJECTIVE

ART II

Art II is a course for beginning art students wanting to learn more about the art elements; specifically space and color, and the art principles: balance, emphasis, movement, contrast, unity, rhythm and pattern. 

Students will learn basics of good design and sight drawing while working with color media such as soft pastel, oil pastel and colored pencils.

Each project in Art II focuses on design while introducing students to basic color theory.



Instead of drawing eyes for practice for each project in Art II, students will work on thumbnail sketches for the first two projects, and eyes for the oil pastel project.
